jackson recently has been intrigued by textures. He love all of his toys and they are played with for a little while and then they go straight to the mouth.
the other thing he loves is strings on a sweatshirt...who would have ever believed how cheap toys would be for him. These were free...they come with a momma too. my favorite is when Adrian gets home from a trip and starts to go through the mail. He loves Junk mail...check it out.
like I said we play for a while and straight to the mouth..
he really was saying dad we need to furniture shop. Just kidding. I have to give him credit, he did rip out a very nice dining room table. All I am saying is the kid has good taste. HE needs to start shopping in the bathroom remodeling section..next week the lowe's ads.

MY SUPERB HUBBY
OK I know I am a horrible scrapbooker there are no pictures and no proof.....other than my word...so here goes...the top two reasons my hubby is superb.
1. my birthday was in January and I usually don't expect much out of him because it is Accounting busy season and he is incredibly busy...we (jackson and I) just enjoy the time we get to spend with him for these three months. I know it is aweful...but unfortunately he gave me plenty of warning before we got married so I can't complain. Not only did he take and evening off to have friends over to play the Wii...but he bought me a present. I got a Bread knife. But not just any bread knife it is part of a tupperware set that is amazing and very expensive...I am sure he got a deal...he has an in with his mom. but still he thought ahead and brought me a present.
#2. he knew he was going to be gone for V-day. SO he once again planned ahead...surprised me by telling me saturday that he had his mom and sister to watch Jackson and we had reservations at the LaSalle Grill in South bend for dinner. It was an amazing dinner...I had a wedge salad, oso bucco (an italian dish) with a glass of my fav wine.and blueberry, mango and rasberry sorbet with a glass of the world's best coffee... and I recommend all of it HIGHLY. if you can get past eating baby cow...it is delish. so much flavor...I could go on and on. It was an expensive restarant and it was an amazing surprise but the best part of the night was the time I got to spend with my husband and the conversation we got to have about normal couple stuff. SOmetimes in the midst of all of the doctor visits, calls, and scheduling...we forget that we are a normal couple almost three years married and that we are allowed to talk about something other than our son. I love you babe....you are the world's bestest hubby of all time. Happy Valentine's day.
ok I found a pic that shows him being an amazing dad. they are too cute.

Happy Half Birthday Jackson!!!
CAN YOU BELIEVE HE IS 6 MONTHS OLD!!!
A Half of a year has gone by since the chaos of his birth.
WOW!!! it seems like just yesterday we were all sitting at his bedside in the nicu at Riley. celebrating all the good news we could get our hands on and holding each other through all of the not so good news that seemed to come everyday. But today we celebrate the beautiful and amazingly strong little man we have right now.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY little guy.
PS....most of you probably could have taken a picture like this at about 3 months old...but you know he is a little guy.

Wonderful trips, sickness and Trouble in the Schrock household
we had a wonderful trip to Minnesota.
had an amazing time catching up with Family and friends.
I have to give props to Jackson he truely is an amazing traveler. At least at the present time. He only had brief periods of craziness on the way there and then on the way back...about a half hour worth. In the grand scheme of a 9 1/2 hour trip, I will take the half hour.
then we got home on Sunday and boy wasn't dad excited to see his little man. I am pretty sure he was excited to see me, too. But the excitement came out with his little boy. Unfortunately both Adrian and I were sick and we are just getting over it now. For me it has been almost two weeks. Luckily, Jackson is remaining healthy. I don't know how the little guy does it, but he is so resilent.
So now to the trouble. We went to Riley when we got back from MN. WE met with Jackson's surgeon who was very happy with us being on track for Surgery the end of March. We don't know the exact date yet but we do know we are on track. Then we met with his kidney doc and they were happy with everything but his weight gain. So the dietician decided to start on cereal. Well, here is the trouble. Jackson SCREAMS.....let me say again, Screams through the entire three bites of cereal we get through before we gag and then thrash back and forth until mom gives us. HELP>>>>HELP>>>>>HELP!!! Is this normal or is this just another way for my kid to be different? All suggestions welcome.
