We have endured a handful of blood work all that came back negative. The baby is in the clear. They did a quad test that tests for chromosomal disorders and a cystic fibrosis test as well.
We are now rescheduled for an ultrasound in a week on May 15th at the Maternal fetal medicine doc in South bend. The ultrasound tech gave me some relief today by saying that ecogenic bowel is something that is usually misseen on ultrasounds and it truly turns out to be nothing most of the time. It was very nice to get this news. I will definitely sleep more peacefully, that is if the little stinker stops keeping me up. This is before its born, i can't imagine what it is like after.
Thank you to all for the prayers, they were definitely felt.

the ultrasound
Well we went in for our ultrasound last Tuesday. We were so excited, not to find out what we we are having but to see our little one and we were not disappointed. Our little one is a strong fighter. The baby was punching my stomach or the ultrasound I am not sure which one he/she was trying to leave a mark on. it is one of the adorable pictures we have. I wish I could scan them in to show you all. We decided as parents we are professional bone identifiers. the only thing that we could ID was all of our babies bones. Spine, legs, arms, and the head. other than that the ultrasound tech had her work cut out for her. She continued to try.
that is the bright side. We however have to go through quite a few more tests. They found some irregularities in the ultrasound and have referred us to a maternal medicine doc at Memorial in South Bend. We have done some genetic testing for possible abnormalities and are awaiting the results. Then next week on Wednesday morning we are headed to south bend for a 3-D ultrasound. I guess on the bright side I have wanted to see what one of these looks like, just didn't expect my kid to be the one that needed to have one.
I truly believe that God doesn't make mistakes or give us more than we can handle. So I have faith that our baby is OK. It has taken me a few days to come to this and a lot of prayers from our close friends and family. Thank you to all who have been praying, I have truly felt your prayers. I also believe that our child chose us as parents and God is creating a masterpiece and that is our beautiful baby boy or girl.
We will continue to keep you all informed at this time please keep praying for peace for Adrian and I and that we have the strength to deal with whatever happens from here.

OK IT IS TIME!!!
We have exciting news. Adrian and I are expecting. IT has been difficult keeping it a secret. OK so we, or I haven't been very good at keeping it a secret. It is just too hard when it is a first and you are so excited. So sorry we haven't been able to let everyone in on the news until now.
We are happily in our second trimester this week. On Wednesday we will have reached fourteen weeks. It seems like a life time until we reach 40, but thanks to my many friends who are pregnant...I have definitely understand to enjoy my second trimester. Recently I did blood testing and a glucose test. The glucose came back fine, but the blood test identified that I have a thyroid condition. "a hypothyroid" which has explained a lot of my digestion issues over the last year and a half. So things have been better, since starting thyroid meds, (not excited about being on meds for my life, but if it makes life easier, then I am ok with it).
We are happily preparing for the baby, cleaning house, organizing, and reading as much as we can to understand how this baby will be changing our life. Oh yeah and Adrian he has been building walls in the nursery. Crazy I know. But he will get it done and I will finish creating the nursery bedding too. Once I come up with and idea.
well that is it for now. I will keep you updated on what we find out.
have a great weekend.

Valentine's day surprise all the way from Florida

OK so I have to brag. My husband has been in Florida for the past two weeks. Yet on Valentine's day he managed to send me flowers and have me taken out to eat and to the movies. Amazing huh. The flowers were so cute to.
Then to top it off....his boss sent me a present too. ON Thursday he had some random guy come and plow out our driveway which let me tell you had about two and half feet of snow in it and there was no way I was going to scoop it. Ok I tried and I will admit it got the best of me. So I thank Syd from the bottom of my heart.
Well adrian is home safe and sound and not enjoying the temperatures....he was basking in 65 to 70 degree weather and I think he would like the temperatures back. However I know he is happy to be home for a while. Hope you all had a great V-day..

I think it is about time I post again
I have been really busy lately. I was offered a new job the first part of this year about a week after we got back from minnesota and started about three weeks ago.
I truely miss my peeps at GMS, but I am loving my new job. It couldn't be better. It is challenging, busy and just my bag of tea.
Adrian was around for most of January, I guess you can say around...we still don't see much of each other which is hard. He however is gone for the next two weeks to Miami, FL. I was going to go visit him in Miami, however with the new job, plans have changed. It will be Macy and I for two weeks, at home and in the snow.
She is loving the snow. She will bound around outside for hours. Thank goodness she entertains herself, because there is no way I am going out for hours in the 6 degree weather. NO WAY!!! My minnesota blood has definitely adjusted to Indiana. That is probably the update for now. I pray everyone has been safe in the snow. We can look forward to the myth that Punxsutawny, the Pennsylvania ground hog did not see his shadow, so we are to expect an early spring. IF you believe that a groundhog knows these things.
Have a great day and beginning of February! Stay warm!!!

Enjoying life.
Well we have been enjoying life lately. We have been busy. Our church this year decided to celebrate advent so I have been busy planning that with three other ladies. It has been great fun getting to know some new people at church. Last saturday we decorated the church all day. Then I came home to get ready for Adrian's Christmas party. This is a story in itself. So I had nothing to wear. the dress from Stace's wedding had spots on it and the Drycleaners got most of them out but there were still a few. So I wasn't excited about wearing it...plus my tatoo showed and that is not the impression i wanted to be sending to Adrian's bosses. So earlier in the week I ordered a few things from JcPenny's. i rush shipped it so it would be hear in time. Let's just say it got here today Tuesday December 5th...the party was Saturday December 2nd. Gretchen ended up saving my butt and loaned me a black poncho. it was so warm and cute. I loved it. (it even covered the spots) the dress I ordered was really cute too and it could be formal or semi formal...so I am tempted to keep it. We'll see. his party went well, he got a little intoxicated. When everything is free it is hard not too. but me sober and him tipsy is not a good combo. It was a late night and an early morning.
Advent the next morning went really well. Our focus was Hope...we heard from the mom's that were expecting and got a close look into the personal thoughts of one first time mom. It was really heart warming and touching. Truely enjoyable and thought provoking.
Today I put up Christmas decorations. This year since we are heading home to Minnesota..we decided against a tree. We also didn't want to fight Macy...(she loves pine sap). So I put up the charlie brown christmas tree in a tin can that adrian had given me for my apartment. It is cute. with our garland and stockings it has some christmas spirit. Plus the sugar cookie candle always makes it smell like christmas. I love it. I love this season. Such a season of Love and Joy. 19 days until I go Home....Minnesota here I come. I cannot wait. The countdown begins.
